Lin Huiyin - Chinese Female Architect and Writer
Lin Huiyin (林徽沖洞因, by birth 林徽音; known as Phyllis Lin or Lin Whei-yin when in the United States; 10 June 1904 – 1 April 1955) was a noted 20th century Chinese architect and writer. She is said to be the first female architect in China. Her niece is Maya Lin.
She was born in Hangzhou though her family had roots in Minhou, Fujian province. From a rich family, Lin Huiyin received the best ecation a woman could obtain at that time, studying both in Europe and America. She attended St Mary's College in London, and she had been adored by the well known Chinese poet Xu Zhimo whom is thought as the most famous romantic story in 20th century of China.
She studied at the University of Pennsylvania as an undergraate, and Yale University as a graate student.
Lin Huiyin wrote poems, essays, short stories and plays. With her husband she wrote a history of Chinese architecture. She also translated English works into Chinese.
Lin Huiyin & Xu Zhimo
Zhimo met Lin Huiyin by chance in the London International Union. Huiyin was then 16 and beautiful. She was studying in a secondary school in London. She was good at Literature. The two fell in love the first time they saw each other.
They often went out together, talking and discussing about literature. Huiyin was impressed by Zhimo's knowledge in literature and his manner. Zhimo admired Huiyin's talent. The two grew fonder as time went by.
In 1920, Zhang Youyi, Zhimo's wife went to British to visit Zhimo. Zhimo and Huiyin feared that Youyi might discover their affair, so they wrote to each other in English, which Youyi did not understand. However, they realized that there was an invisible, unconquered wall between them and that was Youyi. Zhimo requested for a divorce. After they divorced, Huiyin also left British with his father and returned to China. Zhimo fear of losing her led him back to China.
No sooner than Zhimo met Huiyin again, Huiyin agreed to marry Liang Sicheng, the son of Zhimo's most admired teacher Liang Qichao. The reason Huiyin chose Sicheng instead of Zhimo was that Zhimo had married once and she didn't want to live in the shadow of Youyi. Zhimo could not accept the fact and fell into a bottomless abyss of agony.
Though Zhimo knew that Huiyin would never come back to him, he could not stop loving Huiyin even after he married Xiaoman. He seized every chance of get close to Huiyin, but Huiyin kept a distance between them.
Huiyin was the woman that Zhimo really loved throughout his life. They kept in touch until Zhimo died. Zhimo died in a plane crash when he was going to attend a talk concted by Huiyin.
After Zhimo died, Huiyin suggested of setting up Zhimo scholarship for literature, building a Zhimo library and a museum for commemorating Zhimo.

英文難學嗎? —— 聯合國教科文組織把英語列為世界上最容易學的語言,相比之前,外國人學中文,難度才更大。
B站最早過百萬粉絲的拂菻坊,這個90年出生的英國帥小伙,卻講著一口流利的中文。
最開始,他通過B站發一些英語教學的視頻,以其鮮明的腐國梗、鬼畜畫面、天然萌的形象進入網友的視線,之後他的視頻類型就不再局限於此,不斷上傳關於英國食物、生活類、文化類甚至還有游戲娛樂類等視頻,截止到目前,他在B站的粉絲量已集聚了140多萬。
大家喜歡他的原因,不僅是因為他擅長搞笑,而是他反差的人設,一個外國人,用中文講英國的文化、生活,新鮮感十足有沒有?
有人想問:可是他的中文是怎麼學來的呢?
其實,一開始拂菻坊並不會講中文,在各種機緣巧合之下,他來到了中國昆明,為了能生存下去,他開始此孫圓拚命地學中文,後來考上了中山大學。
他曾在《老外學中文最難的部分》這一期的視頻中,講到了中文學習的最難的地方:

其實我想說,沒有堅持和努力,也就沒有拂菻坊的現在。語言不分國界,只要肯花心思學,就一定能掌握。

當今,最好的教育來自於最好的大學,但是那些名列前茅的英國和美國的大學,都要求先通過英語考試,才能接受英語教育。但僅憑語言能力就拒絕學生,這樣對嗎?
她在演講中講到,因為英語設置的障礙,正在將學生擋在路上,使他們無法再追求自己的夢想。
她還以愛因斯坦為例子,提出了扶持當代知識分子的這些「巨人肩膀"不必非得具有英文能力,但是從1964年開始使用托福到現在泛濫的英語測驗,因為收費,又把數以百萬的窮人也拒之門外。
她還提到:
「盡管現在最好的教育來自西方,但是英語並不能代表一切。
曾經有兩位英國科學家在做一項關於遺傳學的實驗,他們研究的是動物的前,後肢,但是很長一段時間,他們無法得到他們想要的結果他們,直到來了一位德國的科學家,他發現在英文里前肢和後肢是不同的二個字,但在遺傳學上沒有區別。在德語也是同一個字,所以,問題解決了。
所以如果你用英語不能想到一個念頭,你會卡在那裡,但如果另一種語言能想到,然後通過合作才能達成最終目的,也學到更多。」
在演講的最後,演講者呼籲: 「別讓我們都身處在黑暗裡,讓我們一同為多元性歡呼!關注你自己的語言,用它來宣揚偉大的想法。"

語言,作為一種為教育服務的工具,英語不應該成為只是好教育的代名詞。

一次精彩的演講比賽 作文。
今天,同學們盼望的日子終於到了,老師前幾天說了,今天進行演講比賽。比賽分兩節課進行,第一節課是每組里派出兩名代表來參加班裡的比賽。我們組做好了充分的准備,並選出兩名評委。參賽選手誰都想當,但是有幾名同學害稿雹怕:「別選我,千萬別選我!我的演講稿寫的不好」。機會可不是人人都會有的,我們組派出的是我們的管理組長關路凡和副管理組長陳芃伯。老敬衡
時間飛快的流逝著,很快就到了第二節課。演講開始了,第一個演講的是喻子豪,他一上台,就引起大家的注意,他的聲音很小,這樣是拿不到高分的。然後上場的是崔一迪,她可是個種子選手啊,她一上台,與喻子豪比,真的是一個天上一個地下。演講中還帶著動作,聲情並茂。演講完畢,台下就發出猶如排山倒海的掌聲。第3、4、5號選手大概沒有希望奪冠,6號選手是關路凡,雖然中間有一點不好,但是我永遠支持她,因為她是我們組的管理組長。妥牧原上場了,我開始本以為她也能奪冠,但是她讀完才知道,她真有點臨時抱佛腳,演講的文章不但短,而且演講的沒滋沒味,。最後一位是陳芃伯,他的感情很充沛,聲音也很洪亮,應該有機會得冠。
隨後,老師根據評委們的打分。冠軍是崔一迪和陳芃伯。放學了,同學們都在說崔一迪和陳芃伯可真棒,我真羨慕他們,雖然我沒有參加這次演講比賽,但是在他們的演講當中我學到了許多知識。以後有機會的話我也要參加演講比賽。在比賽中鍛煉自己,充實自己。
精彩的演講比賽作文555字
第一次的感覺不一定很愉快。可能悲傷,可能高興,可能緊張,也可能很無聊。我的第一次卻是尷尬的……
記得那是我們學校組織的社會實踐活動中,老師安排我做學生代表發言。我既是緊張,又是興奮。興奮的是這是我第一次演講。緊張的是擔心發揮不好。很忐忑的回到家中,跟爸媽說了這件事,爸媽都很支持我。我頓時有了信心。
沒發過言,文章也寫的不好。就從網上摘抄了一篇。我熟讀了了幾遍。邊去復印的了。
經過幾天的准備,終於可以發揮了,走了近一個小時的路程,終於到達了目的地——社會實踐基地。便開始緊張不安的等待開幕式的開始。
隨著音樂結束,開幕式也開始了,上面的老師一個接一個的發言,我卻一句也沒聽進去。只想著我的發言了,可是隱約中卻覺得少了點什麼,卻又說不上來,便也沒注意,忽然,聽老師念到『請佦澤賝同學發言』時我才想起演講稿忘包里了。我在眾雙眼睛的注視下,尷尬的跑到放包的那裡那演講稿,又跑回去演講。可能是因為跑得太快所以呼吸急促,也餓可能是因為緊張。總之我是很快的念完的。且一字不差!
我下台時還聽見有人說我念的也忒快了吧?我很懊惱,在家就這么快,一點感情也沒有。唉!也沒辦法,誰讓我上去是緊張有呼吸急促呢?讀的時候腦子也一片空白。說完後恨不得找個地縫鑽進去。
回去以後,我感覺簡直是超失敗!心想:這次可糗大了,真囧啊。心裡也是忐忑不安的害怕同學和老師笑話我、批評我。沒想到,老師竟單獨找我來表揚我。說我的演講還挺好。我心裡一下開朗起來。
以後我和媽媽談起這件事時,我感慨的說:「沒有第一次,怎麼會有以後的成功呢?」

Five years ago, I went to the Sunshine Coast, in Australia and took my first advanture to an underwater world, at the beginning I had a hard time adapting my eyes to the water pressure, but after a while, when I open my eyes again, I was in a paradise! I was amazed at the brilliance of the tropical fish, the beauty of the sea horses and the awesome power of the sharks. Although safe with my instructor, I strongly felt the impending force of sharks and it made me muzzled.
How can those *** aller fishes survive? Alongside this apparently dominant species? But later I saw what』s really happening, the *** aller fishes were living off the ferocious sharks by eating their dead skin and waste, with each needing the other to survive. The structor then told me it』s only through the co-existence of different species that is under water paradise can stay so wonderful.
That experience in australia five years ago, left me with a strong desire our human world to also bee so peaceful and harmonious, I know it may take a long time to realize my dream, but today I want to share with you my tow hopes to perhaps make it e sooner.
My first hopes is the beijing olympics will bring the whole world together under the banner of one world one dream. Two years ago in Athens olympics, the Iraqi soer team made history by qualifying for the semifinal for the first time. That struck the world, because sports could maintain such a privileged position in the heart of a country even devastated by war, fragmented by battles for power, the sporting spirit displayed by Iraqi soer players reminded us of something larger than hatred. Something larger than power and something larger than our difference, I hope the beijing olympics will again tell the whole world, that the power of love can overe the love of power and tell the whole world that our difference matters, but our mon humanity matters more. I also hope the munication beeen the nations can extend to culture and art. Now there are many western people are enchanted by the Chinese music like the elve girls band, and many Chinese are struck by the western music. So how about the o joining hands in a round-world tour every year. Performing on one stage to the world』s audience.
And recently China celebrated the Year of Russia, we have the Russian ballet, opera, classical music broadcasted on our TV, and the next year will be the Year of China in Russia. I hope there will be more cultural exchanges of such kind so the munication of many different nations will be enhanced.
It seems like only yesterday when I look back at the underwater paradise, it offers me a timeless reminder that our best future lies in hormonious coexistence of many different nations and many different cultures.
Let』s remember what Mahatma Gandhi once said, that no nation and no culture in this world can live if it attempts to be exclusive. And so, let us remember, no matter whether we are from the east or west south or north, the one true direction for all of us should be towards each other.
